Vintage 16" Bicycle Front Wheel Sun Metal Rim Drum Brake Schwinn Stingray Style
Vintage 16" Bicycle Front Wheel with Drum Brake – Sun Metal Products
Vintage 16" bicycle front wheel with built-in drum brake hub. The rim is stamped:
SUN METAL PROD. INC. 3413
This style of 16" front wheel may work with various vintage muscle bikes, Stingray-style bicycles, and other small-wheel bicycles. It may possibly fit certain Schwinn Sting-Ray models or custom builds, but please compare all measurements and mounting requirements before purchasing.
Wheel includes the drum brake hub, brake arm and hardware shown in the photos.
The wheel appears to be in very nice overall condition for its age with some normal shelf/storage wear, marks, scratches, discoloration, and other imperfections from age. I am not certain of the exact year, bicycle model, or original application.
Please note: This is a vintage part. The drum brake has not been fully tested under riding conditions. Buyer should inspect/service the wheel and brake as necessary before use.
Sold as is. Please check all photos carefully for condition, markings, style, and compatibility. Buyer will receive the exact wheel shown.
